We assess ingredients by how they behave in the formulation. An ingredient on its own tells us little about the finished shake.
03 / FORMULATION DEVELOPMENT
Developing the formulation.
Selected raw materials form the basis of development formulations. We work on nutritional value, solubility and texture together, assessing how the ingredients interact in the finished product.
04 / SENSORY ASSESSMENT
Assessing taste and preparation.
The HUXVAL Sensory System™ assesses flavour, creaminess, solubility and consistency. We look at how the powder behaves during preparation and what the finished shake is like to drink.
05 / FORMULATION REFINEMENT
Turning assessment results into improvements.
Results from formulation and sensory assessments inform further development. Adjustments are assessed again, including their effects on other product qualities.
06 / FINAL ASSESSMENT
Assessing the complete formulation.
Before approval, we assess the finished formulation against our requirements for composition, sensory qualities and preparation. This gives us a view of the whole product, rather than individual qualities alone.
